Introduction:  American Bicycle is the Premier Manufacture of Bicycle Lockers and supplier of related equipment. Lockers are produced with a variety of options and different materials. What makes American Bicycle Products unique over the competition is supplying products which are proven to meet both the bicyclists' and the customers' needs.

AmeriBike has been in the bicycle locker business since 1986 and is a leading supplier of lockers in the United States and overseas with a proven track record of quality and reliability.

In addition to lockers, we also manufacture bicycle racks, accessories and even have fiberglass molding facilities with sister company Composite Plastic Product Co.

All of the lockers are manufactured of fiberglass reinforced plastic. One line of lockers uses flat panel frp construction with a core material. While the 300 and 350 Series are molded of fiberglass reinforced plastic composite with no framing. All work is done in our factory to our strict quality control standards.

AmeriBike uses the same technology and production technique required for extreme abuse and weatherability we use in producing race car cockpits, junction boxes for Navy shipboard weapons systems, nose cones for Navy missiles, bushings for radar towers and a variety of other High Tech products. Other commercial applications include aerospace, commercial fishing vessels and military patrol boats. All demanding the highest weatherability and quality control.

After years of development with various materials AmeriBike has found the best materials suited for the job. Through research we found metal construction requires high maintenance and provides no insulating qualities ( it can become an "oven" in heat and an "ice box" in cold weather) for the bike and the riders belongings. Another popular and less expensive material, "rotational plastic molding" sounds good but lacks rigidity, is porous ( which means it's hard to clean off graffiti) and deforms with constant exposure to the sun. Some only have a practical service life of a year. For those reasons AmeriBike produces its lockers with high quality laminated-reinforced plastic materials.

History: We have years of storage security locker experience. The company, Turtle Storage, Ltd., was created in 1986. It is a closely held California Corporation. The company goal for the first three years was to place and rent storage lockers in small boat marinas. Because the marina lockers were made by a bicycle locker manufacturer, T.S. Ltd. in addition to test marketing marina storage, acted as a dealer selling bicycle lockers in Southern California. there proved to be a market for bicycle lockers but little to no interest in the marina locker rental market. In 1989, the company changed it's goals to selling modular multi-lockers and bicycle lockers being supplied by the bicycle locker manufacture company.

In 1990, the supplier had changed ownership, then canceled their agreement with Turtle Storage Ltd. as sales were exceeding their production capability. Turtle Storage Ltd. began manufacturing its' own product line and sales were made under the bda "American Bicycle Security Co.". The bicycle locker continues to be TSLtd.'s primary product.

In 1996, TSLtd. saw a change in the bike locker market with an increased demand for higher quality and more weather resistant bike lockers of molded fiberglass. In reacting to the market demands, TSLtd. produced fiberglass bike locker components through a few fiberglass job shop though found them to be unreliable.

As a result, in 1997 TSLtd founded a new company, Composite Plastic Products Co. This brought in house the fiberglass composite molding process plus the ability to produce tooling and molds. In 2008 we added the RTM Molding Process which has virtually zero emissions and allows us to produce more of our parts with a two sided finish in one step.

The product line offered by TSLtd/ABSCo. has made a slow transformation toward becoming dominantly molded fiberglass products though this only consumes a portion of the total fiberglass molding production capability of the company. Having excess production capacity has allowed the company to market CPPCo. as a job shop and it is producing fiberglass molded products and performing fiberglass repair services for companies and individuals.

At American Bicycle we are dedicated to product innovation with no compromise to quality with a team of experts backed up with years of experience.
