| Introduction: Monterey Bay Nursery, Inc. is a California C corporation wholly owned by Luen Miller and Manuel Morales. This is our twenty first year in business. We are known for a diverse inventory, high quality merchandise with great shelf life and post-planting performance, and fast, dependable service. Also, we are nice. We are wholesale only growers of container ornamentals and color crops. Our products are almost all sold in 1g to 7g containers. Our primary customers are retail nurseries in California. We also sell to landscapers, growers, and brokers. A few highly motivated and forward-thinking independent retailers outside of California also carry our products: Wells Medina Nursery in Medina, Washington (near Bellevue and Seattle), Dig Floral and Garden in Vashon, Washington (Vashon Island, Puget Sound), and Thompson & Hanson Nursery in Houston, Texas are several that come to mind. If you are outside California you will have to contact one of those outlets because we do not sell retail nor by mail order at this time. We have about 50 acres in production on two facilities in northern Monterey County, both near the town of Aromas. We currently have six sales representatives and serve most of California as well as the Tahoe area. About the only areas we don't cover are the Modoc Plateau and the desert. We deliver on our own trucks. We are an innovative company with a heavy emphasis on new introductions. We have introduced many plants to the trade. Our website is designed to make selling our product as easy as possible for retailers and landscape designers alike while providing pre- and post-purchase information for the end consumer. We like to provide end users with as much value and fun out of our product as possible. While many of our customers know us for our wide range of new wave perennials, California natives, and Australian plants, we also produce large numbers of high quality ferns, citrus, palms, succulents, and other, more novel crops for garden, patio, and greenhouse. We firmly believe in offering plants for the gardener, as well as (but distinct from) the landscaper. Gardening is a great pastime, and we strive to bring you plants which are fun to garden with.
